The Islamic Way of Zabiha (Slaughter)

Halal Methods

Islamic Scholars and Organizations in the PakQurbani Team have given strong preference to research in the given arena with respect to religious obligations and requirements. We perform the Qurbani with the best intentions and pray that it is accepted by the Lord of the World.

There is a proper procedure to be followed in sacrificing an animal for the sake of ALLAH’s blessing. Islam teaches us everything that pleases ALLAH and his beloved Prophet (P.B.U.H) and therefore, the method, which is best suited to the Muslim Ummah in slaughtering the animal for qurbani, is also explained in detail for our guidance. One who follows the method properly and gives no pain to the animal which is to be sacrificed.

Some really important points can be beneficial for both, the one sacrificing the animal and the animal who is being sacrificed. It is important that the knife, with which this act has to be performed, is sharp enough to cut the throat, windpipe & blood vessels in the neck, only in the first attempt. This ensures that the animal goes through no pain. The first cut for Qurbani is made by the person, who recites the prayer of Qurbani in the prescribed manner.

Moreover, after the slaughter it should be made sure that all the blood has drained out of the body because stagnant blood in the vessels can provide a place for bacteria and germs to increase their population. Thus, this meat can stay fresh for long if blood is still floating in the animal’s body.

It is therefore advised to the Muslim brothers that they follow the procedure as prescribed by the Islamic law to please ALLAH by their Qurbani and make their Qurbani HALAL to be rewarded well in Jannah.
